I love how every day when he was in Kindergarten and First Grade he'd say "School!" for his favorite thing at dinner time! When he was a toddler, he LOVED to play in the pots and pans. I have a great picture of him sitting on the floor of the kitchen surrounded by pots and pans and he was covered head to toe in flour. He was "cooking"! We called him "Seth Boy-R-Dee".
Well, since I don't remember seeing him as a kid, I'll just stick with the recent memories. I remember my last day seeing him as clear as day. There was a different person, an important person. Seth was a good man, a missionary.
My favorite memory of Seth was when he took me to one of my flag football games. I had been arguing with the refs a little bit. When we were driving home, Seth said to me, "When you're playing a game, if you play your best, the game won't come down to a ref's call." The quote's not exact, but that was the idea. Thanks, Seth!
My very first memory of Seth was pretty close after he was born. I was pretty cheesed off that this little newcomer was hogging up all the attention that had previously been lavished on me. I remember that Mary Chelle told me to be "gentle" with the new baby. Pssht. Also, when he was about 5 or 6 we went to Afton Richardson's house to pick raspberries and he got stung by a bee or a hornet or something and he started crying and he sounded like one of those screaming fireworks. Good times.
Making killing movies where he jumps out of the blanket and says I jump away and run away! And you were the chunkiest little baby/toddler, I loved squishing those cheeks!
I remember him stomping me at NCAA Football on the Xbox. But he was always so nice about. That's Seth; even when he's killing you at something, he'll do it with a smile on his face.
When you were born it was just around the time in my life where I was truly being trusted with watching babies by myself, so I remember many-a-night lulling you to sleep in the rocking chair, singing songs to you.
Also, watching you play basketball was fun- you mostly stayed out of foul trouble...;)
Wow...favorite memory of Seth! Can't pick one! We had some good times! Seth--my favorite memory of you is when your mom said that your only fault was that you didn't vacuum the stairs unless you were asked! :) Seth, you are amazing and kind and I know you will bless the lives of the Indonesians!
Matt and I doubled with Seth his very first date! But things did not go as planned so it really wasn't that eventful. I really looked forward to going to Seth's basketball games!
Too many to name but my first experience with him was when he was born and shortly after, Grandma and Grandpa Killian came to the hospital to see him. They were leaving in a few days to begin serving as mission president. It's only appropriate with all that missionary exposure when he was born, that's he's serving a mission now and is such a good missionary!
Little, chubby Seth was so cute :) A fun memory that I have took place right after I got home from my mission. We came up to Idaho to help Brandon out with a photo shoot of some new water toys. One of the nights he and I went to Rexburg so I could see some friends. I have this good picture of Seth on a horse on the Rexburg carousel having the time of his life :) But really it was just awesome to test those toys out on the lake with him there. ... Even if we did have to cover his duct-tape-covered cast :) It made him look like a robot.
I have too many to pinpoint one particular memory. But I enjoyed it when he'd let me tag along almost anywhere he went despite the age gap between us. I cherish all the basketball and weight room workouts we did together and the talks we would have before going to bed. He was and still is my best friend.
